In a series of interviews of local Eastern Shore residents in 1977, former Salisbury University students and teachers collected folk life material. For her project, Tracy L. Cordrey covered different types of lore told at the Conference Table, where a group of local farmers come together every morning to discuss politics, crops and other local events. They gather at the back table in a local store near Mission, Delaware. Tracy L. Cordrey put into writing the reminiscences of these men. Naturally, spooky topics and urban legends were not left out.
